As a first time homebuyer, there were many things that I did not know about the process. I believe the process would've been easier/ less stressful if things were communicated better. For example, when I requested a loan from my retirement loan, I communicated this to the lender , but the information was not shared with the team. This created issues because it was also not communicated that I could deposit the check once I recieved it. This caused another delay in the process, which had being handled proactively -- wouldn't have been an issue. I recieved a call three day before all funds needed to be sourced informing me of when they were due, which realistically should've been communicated weeks before in order to ensure me (or the customer) could ensure everything was in order, also allowing time for any "loose ends" to be tied up. I was extremely uncomfortable with the process , especially being cleared only hours before actual closing. This caused me to feel like I needed to scramble. The morning of closing I was told to go to the bank and request a transaction statement, which created chaos for me, only to be told (after I went), that it was no longer needed because your system had updated. I do appreciate Stacy and her willingness to answer my questions, but as a team there were a lot of miscommunications.
